What is Q Grade?

A highly valued qualification, Q Grade embraces a global language of coffee quality, setting an industry benchmark for all links in the supply chain.

Issued by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) and taught by certified instructors globally. Achieving the Q-Grader status demonstrates the sensory skills required to successfully assess coffee quality, adding resolution for both the coffee producer, buyer and seller.

Conducted over 6 days, participating in Q (regardless of pass or fail) is an enriching deep-dive into understanding coffee quality, it prepares participants in the skills and language of coffee evaluation.

An active member of the coffee profession, Craig brings to the laboratory and class room 20 years of practical experience, along with his vast teaching knowledge making his Q exams highly supported with industry relevance for his students.

Courses are taught in English, or Craig can successfully deliver in local language/s working with translators.
